Country. 1 Aug 2016. #14. My Peugeot 407 SW 2.0 HDi has recently started having the same problem! And it is just a morning thing! I eventually got it going this morning by squeezing the black fuel pump thingy but it took a few attempts to get going. I've had the car in two garages and neither garage can find the fault.

AFAIK there are three 2.2 engines: DW12 136hp used in 406 and earlier 607s. DW12B 170hp bi-turbo used in 407, later 607s. DW12C 204hp used in 508 (and Jaguar XF) I believe in the DW12C they went back to a single turbo. The 163 is probably the sensible choice -- especially if the cost of diesel is important to you.
