But if Player 1 doesn't like Abby then this game is gonna not go in their favor. When Abby and Ellie fight and you feel conflicted about who should be winning or not and you feel uneasy is when Last of Us 2 is firing on all cylinders in my opnion. But again if you don't like Abby that whole dynamic is lost.
MarioIsPleb • 1 yr. ago. Yes and no. Part I looks higher fidelity to me, especially in character faces, but I think the art and lighting in Part II look subjectively better. There are some minor inconsistencies within the assets I noticed while playing Part I, whereas everything in Part II looks incredibly cohesive.
If you can hold off for a sale, even better. I got the remake pre-owned for $55 and for me it was worth it, but for people who are more selective it might not be. I would totally recommend it for you, sure 50$ can be a bit pricey for a remake but it's totally worth it.
Is Last of Us Part 1 worth more than Part 2. This remake is essentially that, rebuilding the first game in part 2's engine so I just want to know is it worth more than that game? Feel free to discuss just wanted to see how people see this. It doesn’t seem like it’s using the same gameplay as part 2. Seems like just a graphic update.

The Last of Us: Part 2 staunchly neglects that latter category, heavily implying that it is absolutely imperative that you play through the first The Last of Us to appreciate this follow-up chapter.
mostly with how they seemingly just ported over Part 2's systems into Part 1 without accounting for if it'd gel properly, so you get things like awkward combat where enemies attack as fast as they do in Part 2 but you can't counter correctly because there's no dodge and less of a window to back off than the original intended.
The Visuals. The main selling point of the New Last Of Us Part 1 that completely differentiates it from the original is the breathtaking and jaw-dropping visuals. Naughty Dog has gone above and beyond their previous capabilities, which were largely held back by the limitations of the PS3 and PS4.
