The Canon 50mm f/1.8 STM is optically superb and handles very well. It has exactly the same superior optics as the EF 50mm f/1.8 II, which had the same optics and added multicoating to the optics of the EF 50mm f/1.8 of 1987. Autofocus performance top. Autofocus is fast and nearly silent, as we take for granted with Canon.
Sharpness. The Canon M50's 24-megapixel sensor captures very good image detail when coupled with a good lens, though JPEG images are a bit soft at default settings. Canon 6D Mark II. Canon 77D
The Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM lens on my EOS 6D.. I did a lot of research on this lens before buying it. It was actually the focal length of the Tamron/Sigma lenses that first caught my eye and led me to discovering that Canon had updated their 100-400mmL lens to a Mark 2 model. For me, image quality was paramount.
1) Camera Mode Dial, C1 and C2. Similar to the Sony A7 II, the Sony A7R II has a rather simple layout on the top plate. Aside from the hot shoe, there are only two dials and two function buttons you will be dealing with. The first dial close to the flash unit is the camera mode dial. Overall, I'm pleased with the Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 EX DC OS HSM Lens' image quality, though the corner sharpness is the most lacking piece of the overall image quality puzzle. The Sigma 17-50 OS incorporates Sigma's (Hypersonic Motor) for moderately fast autofocusing. Though reasonably quietly, the 17-50 generates some gear noise during AF.
The only way the camera would have an affect is via the micro fine focus adjustment, but that requires strict testing to determine if it needs adjusting. Sharpness is almost always a combination of lens and user. Reply Reply with quote Reply to thread Complain. Bambi24 • Regular Member • Posts: 412.
