Land Rover. Discovery. 2000. To reset the alarm on the 2000 Land Rover Discovery, turn Your car off and make sure the front drivers side door is easily accessible. Then unlock the car and put the key into the ignition. Leave it there for at least a minute and then, set it to the RUN position. Restart the car to see if Your alarm has been reset.
I had a 300 TDi many years ago which developed immobiliser issues and was able to get it to the garage by rigging up a switched 12v supply to the starter solenoid.
